Framing my Fine Art Photography

Recently I used McKenna Pro to order an 18 x 24 inch print of a favorite fine art photo I captured in early October.

I named this print, “Arrival” because I took it on the first day of Autumn (the Autumn Arrival). This scene is also what I see when I arrive at my parent’s home in Victor, Idaho.

Right now my framed print is on display in the Jacob Spori building at BYU-Idaho. Here’s a little selfie of me standing in front it:

Below is the original shot, before I edited it. I used photoshop to remove some of the houses in the background, then I brightened the photo up pretty significantly. I added warmth, lowered the shadows and blacks, then sharpened the foreground and the old barn to bring out the detail.
